How do the people of ancient Greece still influenced the world?

In ancient times, wealthy people decorated their floors and walls with colourful tiles. This is still apparent in today’s society as wealthy still adorn their homes with colourful and embroidered tiles. In some cultures, such as the Spanish, most of the houses are decorated using tiles, however the more colourful and decorative the tile the wealthier they are.

The women of ancient Greece stayed home and cared for the children and prepared the meals. Today many women have a family, take care of the household, and place their children in day care while they go to work. Some women may choose to stay home and care for their children and run the household whilst their husbands work.

In ancient Greece the most common pets were dogs, birds, mice and goats. Most families in today’s society could have a variety of pets including but not limited to dogs, cats, birds, mice, goats and fish.

Toys the children of ancient Greece most commonly played with were yo-yo’s, rattles and terra-cotta dolls. These toys are still played with by children today however modern technology has been influential in giving these toys a modern day twist.
